I always recommend a program that doesn't pull a lot of resources from your PC. While you need aggressive protection, you also need speed. Programs like Norton and McAfee are memory hogs and can slow your computer down tremendously. If you don't have a super-fast computer these can hamper tasks as simple as going to a new website. I always recommend a lean and mean program like AVG Free edition. AVG takes very little resources while offering maximum protection.
